Name: American Black Bear
Diet: omnivores who eat plants, leaves, fruits, berries, nuts, roots, honey, insects, and other small mammals. Habitat: mostly harmless bears that live mostly in forests, but also in swamps and desert scrub. These solitary mammals are found across North America.

Name: Muskrats
Diet: Muskrats eat water plants and shellfish. Habitat: Muskrats are rodents that live in freshwater and saltwater marshes, lakes, ponds, and streams. Muskrats often build dome-shaped houses in marshes. These houses, made of plants, protect the muskrat from predators, since the only entrance is underwater. Some muskrats live in burrows on the water banks. Muskrats are native to North America, but have been brought to Europe and Asia, where they now live in the wild.
Name: Dhole
Diet: These wild dogs hunt in small packs of five to twelve (or more) adults. Deer, wild goats, and mountain sheep are hunted by these carnivores (meat-eaters). Like other dogs, they find their prey using their keen sense of smell and then chase down the prey. Dholes are very good swimmers, and often chase their prey into the water to help catch it. They swallow meat in large chunks. Habitat: The Dhole is a wild dog that inhabits temperate forests, rainforests, and, more rarely, steppes of India, China, Tibet, Malaysia, and much of southern Asia.

Diet: Newts eat insects, worms, snails, and small fish. Habitat: These small amphibians are found in moist, wooded areas in North America, Europe, and Asia.
Name: Nightingale
Diet: The Nightingale eats insects, insect larvae, worms, spiders, berries, and fruit. Habitat: Nightingales live in deciduous forests and thickets in much of Europe (excluding the far north) and central Asia. They spend the winters in north and central Africa.
